Palo Santo is one of our favorite home scenting options for its natural beauty and sweet & woodsy aroma.
Palo Santo, or "holy wood," has been valued for its therapeutic properties for centuries. Our Palo Santo is sustainably harvested from fallen trees, from the same family as myrrh and frankincense, in Peru.
It is believed that when the Palo Santo wood is lit it eliminates stagnant or negative energies and purifies the space, bringing uplifting positive energies. The soothing aroma of the smoke is often used to give your house a sweet smelling aroma and feel. It reminds us of a lighter version of our Peppermint candle, mixed with cedarwood.
Burning Instructions
Hold a stick of Palo Santo at a 45-degree angle over an open flame until the wood catches fire. Allow it to burn for about a minute until the flame goes out naturally. Place the Palo Santo in a small fire-safe bowl (or walk with the wood throughout your home or office) and let the fragrant, cleansing smoke linger in your space.
The Palo Santo burns itself out naturally in a short period of time. If you wish for it to smolder and continue to burn, you will have to purchase a charcoal set, which we do not currently offer.
